These videos are useful when introducing issues regarding human factors in clinical medicine.
I usually show them as a short scenario, which leads on to discussion not just of the clinical management, but also of how we work as teams and ways in which we can improve.
I’d also recommend watching Scott Weingart’s ‘Mastery in medicine’ and Cliff Reid’s “How to be a hero” talks from SMACC2013.
